In this deep dive we are joined by an old friend, Seraphim, who has done work to translate Byzantine Chant into Mandarin and Cantonese as well as loose involvement with the OCMC Missions in China to discuss the history of Orthodoxy in East Asia, the current state of affairs there, and the future for evangelization particularly in China. They also discuss the many Saints and martyrs of East Asia like those of the Boxer Rebellion, St. Nicholas of Japan, and others! Conrad and Dmitriy also discuss Xi Jinping’s meetings with Patriarch Kirill and how this relates to the growing geopolitical turmoil between East and West ☦️
