In another installment of our "Saints not yet canonized” series we are joined by Fr. Peter Heers, who knew the Holy Elder, for a discussion on the life & work of Geronda Ephraim of Arizona. We discuss his early life & his time as a disciple of St. Joseph the Hesychast on Mt. Athos, how his own brotherhood grew, his restoration of Philtheou monastery on Mt. Athos as well as four others, & the many spiritual children he had across Greece & Cyprus. We then get into the Elder’s move to America where he established over 17 monasteries and worked tirelessly to spread the Orthodox faith & its monastic tradition across the continent. Fr. Peter tells us about many miracles & stories from this amazing Saint of our day who Met. Neophytos of Morphou (recounting the words of the Elders Galactia) called the greatest Saint of the 20th century! Holy Elder Ephraim pray for us!👇🏻
