Discussing Israel's deflected strike on Iran, Iran's potential retaliation, the Lebanon ground front, major proxy wars in Syria, Israel recognizing Somaliland, the BRICS Summit in Kazan, & much more!
Phone videos from Tehran, show the vast majority of incoming Israeli missiles being shot down. The presenters of these videos, stated the missiles were fired outside Iranian airspace. Using stand off tactics, just as the Russians use in Ukraine, to avoid their planes being shot down. It sounds as if this discussion on what actually happened in the Israeli strike on Iran has been taken from the IDF or US Propaganda departments. Live video tells the story, the presenters of the videos, were laughing at how ineffectual the Israeli strike was and compared it to the Iranian strike on Israel which exposed the Iron dome as being totally ineffectual. I believe what I see. Russian Missile technology is the best in the world today, with the NATO proxy war in Ukraine enabling the Russians to perfect their mssiles and tactics. Iran and Russia have been collaborating on Missiles and Drones for years, which is why Iran is the only country to have been given S-400's. Russia has improved all of it's Air defense systems, (Pantsir, BUK, TOR, S-300, S-400, S-500 & S-550-which can take out Hypersonic missiles and even satelites). NATO doesn't even have one hypersonic missile in production. Russia has at least four.
If I am not mistaken, the canons "marry" a priest to his parish and a Bishop to his diocese. Transferring clergy around is a very modern innovation that has been allowed by modern means of transportation. I remember when Vladyka Hilarion died in 2022 no one on the ROCOR synod wanted his position. The Bishops all knew that they were married to their diocese and that a move to New York would separate them from their beloved flocks.
Empirically you can feel the difference. When you meet a priest or bishop in the same parish or diocese for decades he has a presence. There is a priest in my area who was ordained in the 70s. He has Parkinson and cannot serve anymore, and yet he commands the utmost respect. A blessing from his shaky hands meant the world to me, because you know he was a good and faithful servant.

You’re right - As it appears now, the Israelis fired their long-range missiles from Iraq without actually entering/reaching Iranian territory.
Let’s hope that’s the case and that there are high tech air defense systems in Iran.
