The new Syrian Government elected al-Jolani as its transitional President, HTS was “dissolved”, the Emir of Qatar visited Damascus, & more countries continue to advance diplomacy with the new regime, all while Turkey continues to fight the SDF/Kurds in the country’s northeast. We then discuss the frontline in Ukraine/Russia, the potential for negotiations, Zelensky’s precarious status, and the future of US/EU support. A new major war has broken out in the Democratic Republic of the Congo as M23, a Rwandan military group, advances across the country’s east. Many Romanian mercenaries on the side of the DRC surrendered & other African countries are getting involved. Calin Georgescu, the man who should be President of Romania, had a recent interview where he discussed ending the war in Ukraine as well as expanding Romania’s territory. Meanwhile Robert Fico in Slovakia is also moving against Zelensky, and the AfD in Germany continues to increase in the polls. Despite this Angela Merkel, from beyond the political grave, intervened against the CDU leader and stopped an anti migration law from passing with joint CDU/AfD support.
