What is also interesting is it seems specific Christian books and prophecies can be banned in Ukraine. Article 161 bans "religious enmity," which could mean calling the OCU schismatics is a criminal offense. Additionally, Decommunization Laws banned Communist groups and criminalizes criticism of Bandera and the glorious Ukraine nation. This means prophecies could be criminal to possess or share in Ukraine if they support the "Russian world." The dubious standards of "Russian world," essentially mean anything that can be connected to a Russian or is positive about Russia. This can mean prophecies from The Church can be criminal to possess/share if it were shared by a "Russian world" actor (Russian by ethnicity, nationality, or belonging to a Russian church).

That is to say you can not eliminate Holy Rus or Russia from Orthodoxy. What would remain would be heterodox. That doesn't mean Russia is superior. It simply means Russia plays a central role in The Orthodox Church. For example, imagine if all Russian Saints are eliminated because they are "Russian world." What would be left that stood firm in the truth? You likewise can not erase Russia from history or culture. For example, the existential arguably would not exist without Russian writers, as Russia is the birthplace of that field of philosophy. Even America can't erase Russia from American history.

The irony that Public Orthodoxy is seemingly reviving the Cold War hysteria is a good laugh. Exhuming McCarthyism and weaponizing it to cause division and schisms within the Church founded by Christ does not seem like a wise decision. When it is obvious a "fellowship" within the Orthodox network is "hellbent" on applying divide and conquer to fuel a schism, which is in lockstep with American foreign policy interests, one wonders how many of the "fellows" involved are funded, supported, or amplified by the US gov (directly or indirectly) and intelligence community assets/businesses. There was a documentary about the Subversion of American Orthodox that was censored on YouTube for using copyrighted material connected to Fordham. Interestingly, the NAFO trolls routinely use copyright infringement as a means to control the flow of information (the individual who has the YouTube copyright can prevent everyone else from sharing it on youtube).

Wonderful episode, as always. I like how aside from all the 'heavy'/serious content, you included 'lighter' stuff such as cultural (film) matters as well as social issues ("the pitbull question").

Also, interesting to find out that Conrad is an "island boy" by background. 😂

Interesting. Maybe that's where Cheburaskha comes from. 🤔😂

Speaking of strange fairy tale creatures, permit me to ask you: what's all this about gnomes? Is it just a meme, or is there actual evidence for 'little people'?
