I would like to visit Mount Athos someday but seeing as how the world is going, it won't be possible for a few years for me. So I will be praying for you during your pilgrimage to these Holy places. I will probably start a Twitter to find out what such a trip looks like.
God bless y'all. I really appreciate the commentary. One statement that would have to disagree with was the off hand remark about the power of the U.S. navy being unchallengeable. The Russian military is completely capable of taking out virtually the entire surface fleet of the U.S. navy through a wide variety of means from typhoon causing sub surface missiles to hypersonic Kynzals. But even apart from that, the Chinese navy now out tons the U.S. navy and is not anywhere near as overspread. You could almost walk to Manilla across Chinese ship decks without getting your feet wet. The U.S. military has suffered for many years from chronic low moral, most soldiers and sailors are trying to get a free ride to college and have no interest in actually fighting anyone. I would wager mass desertion once there is a Kynzal sized hole through the middle of a CVN.
